No brake lights

New to this site. NEED IMMEDIATE HELP! :( I am unable to locate the fuse panel under the steering wheel, next to the brake pedal, as indicated in the owners manuel. No brake lights! Suppose to leave out this morning for wife's birthday week on the So. Cal coast. Thanks much,
