No floor under bath/shower

Recently on a trip I was taking a shower . I turned around, took a step, and went through the tub. When I felt around, I found that there is no sub-floor in the far corner. When I got home I took a look underneath and verified that corner was missing sub-floor. I would like to replace it but I don't want to take the entire tub out (which it looks like that would be the only way). Any suggestions?

If you "went through the tub" aren't you going to have to remove the tub and replace it? While the tub was out, you could install a sub floor.

The sub-floor may be absent for a purpose, like plumbing. Most RVs seem to have some type of access panel or grille where you can see beneath the shower pan. Either way, you'll see plenty when you remove the shower pan.

As BFlinn181 stated, when you replace the shower add a subfloor. Even if you have to box in the drain system, add insulation while you are at it. It your unit and do as you please, actually make it the way it should have been in the first place.
