NO Heat Pump/Air condition
I have a 03 Journey DL 32' diesel pusher. I have a series 6535 heat pump system (basement type) I have nothing on the thermostat. NO lights no tempture.
The fuse under the cover for the thermostat has 12V but nothing works. Doesnt even show the temp inside coach. I have checked all fuses and they are good.
The last time I used the Air condition it worked good. I had to replace the house batteries and now it doesnt work. Dont think it has anything to do with it.
The thermostat I have is a Coleman RV Air condition HP thermostat MFG#8530A3451.
Any help would be nice. Could it be the thermostat its self??

Depends on where you are located but heat pumps do not operate below aprox. a 35 Deg. Ambient Temp.

X2 on the house battery switch, but make sure those battery's are connected correctly. Easy to get it wrong.

Everything else in the coach works. Shows 13.4 volts on the gage.
What should I look for????

Yes, sounds exactly like failed thermostat. Many of us have had to replace it. Some have used a RiteTemp or a Honeywell stat for replacement. Do a search here on the forum and you should find some info on that ...I believe Duner did a write-up. I replaced mine with the same Coleman stat.

This sounds like a 12v issue go back and check house batt. Bad connection some where on 12v good luck

Sounds like one of the small wires was not connected or still loose on the battery swap. I did that once, it was a small white wire that was not tight.

When temperatures are too low for the heat pump to function, the controls should switch over to propane furnace automatically, if it's the OEM wiring and stat.
One of my compressors stopped working, the technician finally found a corroded connection at a terminal, cleaned it and the compressor worked.

Temp readout would still work and gas heat should come on

Hello does the red wire going to t- stat have 12 volt on it if not trace wire back to control board and check for 12 volt. If you have 12 volt at t- stat it maybe a bad t- stat.

I found the problem, it was a fuse. Just how many places can someone put fuses LOL

Heat Pump, Heat and AC Thermostat 8530A3451
I realize this thread is old but i found some info on the thermostat used on my 2002 Itasca Sunrise. While I don't know if these conditions caused my system to not start, i thought i would point out the cautions dealing with temp changes and the heat pumps.
Using this link put in 8530A3451 in the search box and 4 pdf files are available.
click on the bottom one and note the operational sequence and possible lockouts.
