No left brake light.....

'94 Adventurer, discovered today I have no left brake light. Both running light and turn signal work, so bulb must be good. Brake and turn work on same bulb filament don't they? or is it running and turn?

Any ideas where to start?

Hi Romer1,
Some bulbs have two filaments some have one. A faster answer might be had in the Winnebago Owners Forum.

Should be brake & turn on same filiment. Check for voltage at the wire coming in to the brake light socket. should be 12volts. I would suspect a broken wire some where or possibly a bad ground, But my thoughts on the bad ground is that there would only be one ground for all the lights in that assy. If there is a broken wire it may soon contact a ground 7 if so will blow the fuse & cause both brake lights to not work. In some cases the wire from the other brake light will then go to the 2nd light. Hope this helps.

A little more info. they are 2 filament bulbs with 2 wires entering socket. Have 12v in 1 wire only for running lights. Pressing brake pedal does nothing. There is only 1 ground.

also, left brake light on toad stopped working.

Glad you found the problem. Should be easy to find a new multifunction switch.
