My a/c unit kept tripping the breaker and the breakers became very hot. The last time this happened it blew the breaker, so I replaced it, only to find out that there is no power coming into the main panel, but there is power coming into the rv from the box outside. Is this a common problem? What could be causing this? Even the electrician is stumped.

Randy 6290, first let me welcome you to iRV2. We are glad to have you join us here. You'll have a lot of fun here.
You probably have a problem with your transfer switch. You may be luck and have on that has a circuit breaker that can be reset but most do not. Look in or near the compartment the shore power cord comes into the coach. You should find a box that states it is a automatic or transfer switch. Unplug from power and remove cover. Look for a reset button inside and center. If not found have your electrician plug into shore power and confirm that power is making it into the box and if it is leaving it or not. If not and no reset is available you will need to replace it. Good luck and let us know the outcome.
