No power to gfci

I have no power to my outlets . I replaced the gfci outlet thinking it was bad but still nothing. Checked the chord coming from ground power and I'm getting 123v. I need some help. It's a 1998 Damon Intruder model 347

Hi Seabee,

Glad you found this forum, welcome aboard. If you are comfortable using a handheld voltmeter, then you can track down your problem.

First, be sure that new GFCI outlet is installed correctly and is reset after energizing.

Next, start at the breaker panel and confirm proper voltage leaving the breaker. Work your way down the circuit until you find the interruption of voltage.

Again, only work on "hot" 120 volt ac circuits if you are comfortable doing so. All the best.

I did that already. I have no power to the main breaker at the converter. I wonder if there is a reset button I need to push. It has a magnetek 7345 converter.

I would then start at the power pedestal and confirm correct voltage. If it is a 50 amp service, look for voltage on both legs. Then work your way "downstream" until you discover the voltage interruption.

By all means, if your inverter/charger is reset equipped, reset that. All the best.

Thanks for the help. I'm unable to push the slide out, because it's in the way where I think the reset button is. I will try it tomorrow when I get it on level ground. Thanks again

Between the power post and the main breaker, there should be a transfer switch. Some are mounted right above the power center.

The Magnetec 6345 is a combo converter/charger and a power distribution center. If you don't have 120v coming into it, you need to look back towards the transfer switch and the shore power cord. Do you have power if you run the genset?

With no power coming into the Magnetec panel, you have no battery charging either.

Open the switch and check the wire connectors. Pull the plug first !

Thanks, I'll do that next. Don't want to take it to a technician, but I will if I have to

No power out of the ATS means a relay isn't switching or a wire has disconnected. A replacement ATS isn't terribly expensive and a straightforward replacement job as long as you can get at it ok.

When my 7245 went out a few years ago I could not find a replacement (It was superseded by the Parallax Power Center 8345A) so I bought a Progressive Dynamics PD9245 with the Charge Wizard option. It was an easy installation. Not a drop in but is close to the same size so all I had to do was drill 4 new plot holes for the mounting screws. It is a better unit than the 7245 with 3 stage charging with one stage being a float charge that will not overcharge the batteries.

Your Magnetek is a converter/charger, it has nothing to do with your GFCI, unless its power cord is shorted. Magnetek converts 120vac to 12v dc.
