On a recent trip everything running on propane was working fine ... water heater, stove, fridge. After an afternoon of traveling I noted the refer displaying an error ... no propane flow.
Check the stove, no propane. The monitor panel shows 1/2 tank full. The motorhome is an Itasca (Winnebago) Navion with the propane tank mounted under the coach in the middle of the chassis, with a remote On/Off switch at the remote fill point and another On/Off switch near the monitor panel. Both switches are "on" but no propane flow.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Are your LP gas monitors/alarms on, if they detect gas they can shut off the flow from the tank, assuming they are the style that connects to the tank.

You say the monitor panel shows half tank, is there a gauge on the tank itself? Monitor panels are notorious for being wrong.

Assume since your coach is a 2016 the regulator hasn't gone bad.

Try turning off the propane then reopen slowly. Then turn on a stove burner and attempt to light it. Stove burner is the easiest way to purge air from the lines.

Try the easiest fix first, check gauge on tank.

Yes please check the gauge on the tank. Make sure you shutdown the fridge. It may not want to start backup on propane due to the alarm so once you get the gas fixed make sure to check it out on propane.
You may want to have the propane tanked filled again just to be on the safe side. Compare how much it takes to how much it should take minus 20% for overflow protection. (I think it's 20%) Which means if your panel is correct then it should take about 5 gallons. 13 gallon tank have full with 80% capacity

It's working again! I was about to crawl under the motorhome to see if there's a gauge on the tank and to find and inspect the electric valve. Before I crawled under I decided to again work one of the two on/off valve switches, the one outside next to the remote fill port. To my surprise this time I could hear the valve clicking indicating it was operating.

Inside, I checked the stove, then the fridge and water heater by operating each one and all is well. I don't know why it began working again, but hope I don't have further problems as I have a dry-camping trip coming up next week.

Glad to hear you are back up and running. Any idea what caused the original issue?

Some places will turn off the gas to all the appliances when they fill the tank. Then they will turn it back on when it's filled.

Occasionally they won't open the valve all the way. Enough so it will work but perhaps not good enough when heavy demand is put on it.

I'd turn the gas supply valve off and then back on all the way.

No idea what the problem was. Perhaps just a stuck valve switch. I'm hoping it was only a temporary issue, I had the tank filled today "13 gallon" and it took only 2.1 gallons even though the monitor panel showed "1/2 full".

To Arch Hoagland: There is no way to anually "turn the valve off" since the tank is located unter the coach in the center of the frame. As noted in my original post, the valve is an electric valve controlled by one of two switches, one located on the exterior panel next to the fill port and the other valve switch is next to the monitor panel inside the coach.

Since the coach is so new and should still be under warranty get it to your dealer and let them FIX it, or show you what you did wrong.

Be surprising if there was no manual valve located right at the high pressure vapour port on the tank.

Some propane tank valves and also some of the extension hoses have a safety shut down feature that shuts off flow if the tank valve is opened to quickly. Ask me how I know!!!

Best to slowly open the valve to prevent this issue. Good luck!

I get a kick out of reading/comprehension.........

Anyway....
The On/Off switch next to remote fill must have loose contacts/connections/terminals that got jarred while in transit.
Then made connections again when you were messing with it.

Need to have that switch replaced before it completely fails and doesn't allow ANY propane flow.
