NO toad tips

We went from 5th wheel to a Winnebago Minnie 31KP and trying this without a toad if possible. Missing the ability to pop around some but don't know that we want to pull a toad. Looking for a resource for tips for motorhoming without a toad? I see the WIT club has a speciality club for no toad and I emailed them also.

Thanks

That would be impossible for us. We like to see the sights, tour the local area, eat out, not to mention Wally World to shop.

While we own a car that is towable, we have not yet set it up. We have been fortunate that we frequent areas served by Enterprise. They pick me up at the campground and bring me back when we are done.

For the first 10 years we didn't have a toad. We would rent a car if we needed one at our destination. We always checked ahead to see if there were rental cars available in the area where we thought we would need one and sometimes we had to pick one up on the way.

We finally bought a Chevrolet Spark with a 5 speed manual transmission to tow. It is light enough that you don't really know it is back there and it didn't break the bank buying it new.

The ability to get around is nice. Here are some options in order of expense and size.

shoe leather express

bicycle

49cc scooter bike (no motorcycle endorsement needed)

larger scooter

rental car (Enterprise sometimes has great 3 day weekend rate and they pick you up)

4 down toad vehicle

Before we got our toad, we always used Enterprise.
