During the night an alarm on my four-door Norcold began sounding. The code flashing is "re ac.". I cannot find that code in the manual. I had the control board replaced just a few days ago. The outside temps are in the low 20s overnight. I got it to quit flashing when I re-leveled the coach. I also started the engine and let it run about 20 minutes.

Any suggestions as to what the code means? I believe it will do it again.

From a search on the Web: (Ask How)

"Have the unit serviced if "H," "r," "S," "AC rE," "dc rE," "AC HE," "dc HE" or "Sr" appears on the display. These errors are not serviceable by the owner."

Sorry for those bad words. You can try unplugging the unit for a couple minutes, plugging it back in and see if that helps any.

I'm sure you tried a simple turning it off and back on again.

Good luck.

JSW,

That specific Norcold code, re-AC, is telling you that the AC relay had failed on the control board. Take the control board back to whoever sold it to you and ask for a new one. It should be under warranty if it's only a few days old.

Also, if you send me a PM with your email, I will send you the Norcold four door service manual with all of the codes and trouble-shooting diagrams.

Dr4Film - Richard.

Here is a PDF with fault codes, go to page # 12 bottom of page re-AC flash has to do with the AC relay may be coming stuck.
If you have fridge operation forced in AC operation and not AUTO a power drop may have set it off.
