*Not very bright* alert

One step method to waste a gallon of RV antifreeze...

1) Leave low point drains open when pumping antifreeze into your supply lines.

In my defense.. I wasn't feeling too smart when I did this.

Look on the bright side. At least it won't kill your dog when he licks it up.

If that's the worst mistake you ever make with an RV, you will be way ahead of most of us.

Can't tell you how many have pumped that gallon, plus a few more, into a water heater that hasn't been bypassed - and still not winterized properly.

I saw the title and got very excited but was disappointed after reading it. I was really hoping you found an "alert" that would let you know when your were about to do something that was "not very bright".
I really need one of those.

Ha, well at least now I know I'm not the only one! And I've probably done it more than once over the years. Kinda like leaving the drain plug out and pouring oil in the engine. Yeh, I did that too. I blame it on "distractions". They seem to occur more frequently as I get older.

I love reading this stuff, not because I like to gloat, but because misery loves company. I always count it a victory when I'm able to complete a project (large or small) without paying any stupid tax...

You know that extension cord that you use to maintain your batteries when the coach is stored for the winter? Well, that cord doesn't slow the coach down at all when you drive away with it still plugged in. Neither does the rear camera tell you that you just tipped over your trash cans with the tail swing. And the list goes on...

I think many of us need the same kind of alarm that sounds when you put the coach in drive before retracting the jacks. Ask me how I know.

The 50Amp cord that powers everything doesn't slow the coach down either. It did make a loud "thunk" so at least I didn't drive over the cord with a tire and destroy the cord.

LOL. Somehow, I knew that I wasn't alone on this one.
