I also run my generator as needed for cooking, entertainment, and AC. My slides are out if room permits.

There is a yahoo group, Walmartrving, that has a good up to date list of Wal Mart locations, NOP noted, and if fuel available. The file is updated frequently. Search for "walmartrving" in yahoo groups.

A few months back, we drove from NC to NM. We pulled off the road outside of Ft Worth and stayed 2 nights in a COE campground (dumped tanks & refilled water). Other than that we stayed in Sam's Clubs (members) and Wal-Marts (our second choice). We always asked. The Wal-Marts were nice about letting us stay. And the Sam's Clubs were almost giddy when giving permission. We refilled our fresh tank with water & dumped the grey/black tanks at rest stops. We were driving a schoolbus pulling a jeep, a vintage class C and another jeep pulling a hot dog cart. We did have a few folks stop and ask us questions or just drive by slowly and look... mostly at the schoolbus. Only Wal-Mart with barriers was at Shreveport. I think they were really to keep the big tall tour buses for the casinos out. But we didn't ask. Too high to keep RV's & Semi's out.
