If you buy a Fumoto oil drain valve I strongly recommend you get one with a hole drilled in the operating lever. If unable to find one, drill one yourself so you can safety wire it in the closed position to prevent road debris from knocking the lever to the open position.
I had a valve like that on the crankcase of a small aircraft I used to own and maintain. It was a useful addition and I didn't have to worry about oil loss while airborne.
Various components on small aircraft engines are almost identical to automotive parts. The only difference is holes in the aircraft parts for safety wire to prevent the parts (like oil filters) from spinning off due to vibration.
