Oil Spots Removal
Traveling through Newport News, VA we were passed by an older diesel pickup, converted to a flatbed. Every time the driver slowed and accelerated in traffic, a cloud of black smoke came out of the exhaust. I slowed as much as I could in traffic and the truck eventually was gone. When we arrived at our our campground and started setting up I discovered oil spots/streaks covering the front of our coach and spots/streaks dotting the driver's side.
The spots are definitely dirty oil, which probably came from that truck. They seem to wash right off the painted surfaces, but just smudge on the gel coat/fiberglass.
Any suggestions. I am afraid I am going to make the problem worse. And, we will not be home for at least three weeks, so that I could get someone I trust to take a look.
Thanks for any and all thoughts and ideas.

Scrubbing Bubbles!
Years ago I camped next to a new RVer but old Motorcycle Rider. I was washing the windshield and front cap to remove the days collection of bugs, and he told me that the detailer at the local Harley shop told him the best thing for bug removable was Scrubbing Bubbles. I have kept a can in the RV ever since. It works great for bugs, dirt, and grease. Never seen any bad effect on the paint, gel coat, chrome, or rubber.

My recommendation is use Gel-Gloss and a soft cloth

Most any detergent with a degreaser (Dawn dish detergent?) should do the job nicely. So would most any brand of car or RV or boat polish.

Just grab the Spray and Wash, spray it, let it sit for a minute, and rinse. Also removes tar.

Just a follow-up. We tried pretty much everything you folks suggested, while we were still on the road. No luck. When we returned, we took the rig to our local RV repair, which has a body shop. Bottom line - they were able to lighten the spots, but not remove them. Even though the coach had just been detailed before we left, this stuff penetrated the wax and the gel coat/fiberglass. So, that is that.
Thanks to all of you who had suggestions.
