I have a 30 ft class C motorhome with a ford V10 that I purchased about 16 months ago.It uses about 2 qts of oil ever three thousand miles so I changed to a 10w30 synthetic and it is a little better but it does not smoke and does not have any leaks. The two hoses coming off the value covers to the intake tube shows that it is oily and it has a new PVC value in it.Does anyone know what I could do to stop this.

aggie14, I use Shell Rotella T synthetic 15W-40 in my 454 Chevy (45,000 miles) powered Airstream Land Yacht. Uses about 1 quart every 2,000 miles, and I'm OK with that.

Gas MH engines have a lot of hard, hot work to do. I'd expect them to use a little oil in the process.

First make sure you're not over filling. The V-10 holds 6 quarts.

6 qt max at oil change with filter. Do not overfill. There where some years when they had the wrong Dip Stick.

I had to replace the dip stick that came with the 1999 Ford V10 on my previous MH. It was not covered by the waranty. I replaced it to eliminate the overfill problem and reminding service personnel not to pay attention to the stick.

I do use only 6 qts for a oil change and my dip stick also shows about a qt over when I change the oil. I make sure I get all the oil out when I change it and always change the filter.
