Oldest RVers

Curious on the oldest RVers. We are 72 and love it. I was wondering how many years more we have to explore this wonderful country. Assume health and monies are not a problem aside from usual aches and pains. Jack

At 77 years we planned an Alaskan trip for this Summer but had to put that on "hold" to deal with a high PSA number.Hope for the best for next year. Travel while you can and do it now!

I think physical ability is more relevant than age!

Keep moving... excercise (even though a BIG PITA!) is tremendously important! My Pop is 81 and walks two miles every morning with his pooch!

Keep moving!

Mal

I don't think you can pinpoint an age. I have known some that had to stop in their mid 60's. My Father is now 78, just last year he was climbing three levels of scaffolding putting a new roof on his 2.5 story home. At 71 he had gone waterskiing. I hope that I inherit his health and can go like him at that age. He used to do some jogging and such years ago but not really to the point that he was big on fitness I would say. I am very proud of my Dad.

It is all a sate of mind.

We met a young couple in their 90's traveling around. They seemed to be doing just as fine as us kids! (in our 60's)

I know of a couple in their 80's who just bought their first RV, a motorhome. As long as health and money hold out, let's keep rolling!!

I will be 81 next month and shopping for a new DP. (my 4th MH) I have two motorcycles and ride year around here in south Texas. My bad knee from the Korean War went bad, so I have trikes now...and love them. I will ride until I can't get my leg over the seat. 13 years ago my PSA went up, a very young surgeon took out my prostate and now no PSA. Hey, I have slowed down some, but will fight it until I go to the Big BX in the Sky.

I tip my hat to any and all of you that are past the age of 65 and still able to enjoy Rv'ing.

I hope that i along with the DW are able to do the full time thing 5 years from now. Exrench, i'm still on the mend from Prostate surgery, was a success but at your age i wouldn't recomend having it done, take the meds and keep on enjoying life and Rving as much as possible. Happy trails and safe driving y'all.

I think I should have named the thread "older RVers". Not oldest. Thanks all for comments. Let us know if you are full timers, snow birds, or just RV a lot. Jack

I am only 71, and hope to get at least 10 more years with a DP motor home. I have met plenty of people in their 80's with big rigs.

I will be 70 in 3 months. We are full time volunteers with Campers On Mission building churches, working at christian conference centers, childrens homes, helping build Tennessee's new Disaster Relief Mission Mobilization Center, and other charities. We have been doing this for over 3 years and love it.
