Gen starts and runs about 10 secs and dies, as if it runs out of gas. Wait a few minutes and it repeats the same problem. Any suggetions?

What code does the light flash? The remote starter light should flash a series of blinks, pause and then another series, longer pause and repeat the cycle. Count the number of blinks in the first series (e.g., 3) and the second series (e.g., 4) and this gives you the error code 34. Look it up in the proper Onan user manual for your model and it will tell you the problem and how to correct it. This I learned from far too many generator issues in the first 48 hours of ownership

Bought my unit used last July . Tom Johnson gave us a couple of nights next door in Lowes Speedway campground to be sure everything worked as promised. Onan 4000 quit working properly second day. They found the circuit board had failed. Fixed in 10 min. after they got part. Great service.
