Thumbs down Onan 5.0 BGE generator with Nikki carb

I am new to the site and am having trouble finding my was around. Just yesterday I read two posts I want to respond to and I cannot find them. One had to do with removing the altitude adjustment knob from the Niki carb and converting it to a high speed nozzle adjuster. Another had to do with removing the Nike carb for cleaning with the Onan still in the confines of the MH. There is a very simple way of doing it and I would like to respond to the person seeking help.

Now for my question on the Nikki carb on my Onan 5.0 BGE. I have the carb out for cleaning and on the top are two brass screws with phillip heads. They are on so tight I can't remove them. I am quessing that there may be a low speed jet that need cleaning under one of them and who knows what else under the other one. Can anyone tell me what is under the two brass screws and how I might loosen them? Thanks for any help you can give me. Jim

If those threads used the word Niki in them then at the top of this web page select the search feature from the menu bar and entire Niki. THere are at least 17 threads that use that term.

Dave, I just don't understand this site, As you suggested, I logged in, then clicked on search, entered Nikki, highlighted show threads and got 5 threads and a couple did not have the word Nikki in them. I then did another search and highlighted search show posts, got 17 and only about 4 had anything to do with Nikki or carburetors, as a matter of fact, if brought up several condemming WalMart. Am I missing something?

As you may have seen, one ladies name is Nikki. You might be hitting on that.

You might try Onan BGE if that was the model with the post

You can also use your browser history from yesterday to find the thread.

Do you have the service manual? Not sure if it is a Walbro or Nikki picture but there is a exploded drawing of a carburator in it. If you don't, then I need to know what the model and spec number is to locate the right one.
