Genset in my '98 Winnie Chieftain. It will start, then immediately shut down. I'm told it's probably a stuck or faulty low oil
Pressure cutoff switch. WHERE IS THIS SWITCH LOCATED? Sure hope someone out there knows. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks..

Should be by the oil filter behind the cover I know you looked but is the oil to the line while checking on level ground

Hopefully that's all it is. I had to take mine in the shop for the same thing and found it to be a faulty computer module to the tune of $3500. If you press the bottom of the start button on the unit you will get a code flash in green. Just count the number of flashes and you can call Onan direct to assess it.

Well...does anyone know where the main circuit board is on this unit?

I'm having a similar issue with my '02 5500 generator. It's a carb-equipped model, so I don't think computers were that involved in running it.

The symptoms are that it lights off and starts to run, but as soon as the regulator starts to move the throttle, it dies. I think I'll be taking the carb off at the end of the season for a good clean-out. We don't use the genny much and I don't think the original owner of our MH did either. After 10 years, it only shows 48 hours on the Hobbs!

I had cardiac surgery in December last year and didn't get to my every 6 weeks generator run schedule until mid-April, by which time it was too late.
