Onan/Cummins 6000 Oil Change - Filler Neck question - Trick?

Changing the oil on the beast today.

Here is my problem with the engineering and placement of the Generator.

Its in a Bay, the top of the bay is lower than the filler neck of the Generator.

Don't know if anyone else has this issue, but what tool did you use to push oil up into the filler tube which is also the dipstick tube.

In a similar situation I use a tool made for filling rear end diffs. It looks similar to a grease but has hoses on it. One end in the oil can the other where you want it to go, pull the handle to fill the gun, then push it out the other end.

Makeshift way that took over an hour to put in 3 quarts.

1. Turkey baster, take the ball sqeeze off.
2. 3' of Fuel hose - I always keep odd stuff like that with me
3. Paper towel roll.

First sqeeze the tip of the turkey baster into the fuel hose
Second put hose in filler tube
Third put paper towel roll on a chair/table/door/platform above the filler hole
Fourth put the baster inside the center of the roll and stuff paper towels to make it stay
Fifth, pour in and let gravity pull it down.

1 hour later success, 3 quarts in. if you spill paper towel roll absorb the oil. In the end throw the paper towel roll away and start the generator.

Where there is a will there is a way. I left my transfer case pump In seattle, wish I brought it.
