Onan diesel generator problems

I have an older diesel pusher (1994 Holiday Rambler) That has developed a problem with the generator (7.5 onan) The generator starts and runs fine as long as the coach is running or at least the ignition is on. Any ideas where to start looking ?

Thanks

It sounds like the connection to the house batteries is bad or the house batteries are bad. That is a good place to start.

The generator fuel pump requires a constant 12v. You apparently have that only while the engine is running, so look to the battery connections for the generator.
