Does anyone know an online source for Onan parts? In particular, I need an exhaust hanger. The part number is 155-2174.

Went to my local muffler shop and got a muffler hanging bracket. Worked much better than the cheap bracket from local auto supply store. Painted before installing to keep rust under control.

I didn't think the hanger was an Onan part - the coach manufacturer uses whatever bracket/hanger works in that particular configuration. Try a good auto parts store or muffler shop.

How about a piece of plumber's strap from a hardware store or Home Depot?

Neither place listed had that part. I want the original Onan part becuase it dampens the vibration. Of course that part that dampens the vibration is why it broke.

Have spoken to a repair place that said that people that use rigid motor mounts at the tailpipe end up breaking the tailpipe at the muffler connection. The genny is on flexible motor mounts and you don't want the rigid connection at the end of the tail pipe.

The part(rubber/fiber)that dampens the vibration is a standard part and can be obtained at any auto parts or muffler store. There is nothing special about it. I doubt that yours is even an Onan part, I know that the one on mine is nothing special

Mine is the exact Onan part. I would prefer to just order it than drive around to various shops looking for it. With gas prices these days you can waste a ton of money if one place doesn't have what you are looking for.

If it's the exact Onan/Cummings part then call Cummings they will have to have it or tell you where to get it.

Check your Onan manuals that came with your rig. I have two and one is a parts manual. Might find it there...

I would just call 1-800-888-6626...this is Cummins/Onan...they are located here in Wichita, Kansas...I used them to get parts for my Onan when the exhaust manifold cracked...I ordered the parts from them, picked them up, and installed myself...they are very helpful...I even asked for the parts catalog for my generator, and they simply GAVE it to me...I would use them every time I need something for my Onan....

I would give you the number, but I am at work and don't have it handy....when I get home I will look it up for you

Tell 'em I said HI!

Happy RVing!
