Onan HDKAK 8 KW generator auto start

I have the Magnum Energy digital panel where the slide outs switches, control panel and wondering if I can program running time hen to start or I need to turn the tabs inside under the driver dash panel. There are turn switches on this unit.
Do I just do the electronic one or tab one or both
Thanks very much and happy holidays to all

If you have a Msgnum inverter and the full remote panel, you can purchase a Magnum AGS module and wire it to control the generator. It is not a feature of a Magnum inverter rather an add on. Not really sure what the tabs you mentioned are.

What year is your coach?

My 2012 has the same generator and it comes with the Energy Command 30 (EC30) remote panel for the auto-start programming.

Is that what you are referring to mounted with your other controls in what is often referred to as the main control center or control panel?

I can only envision the tabs you are referring to as maybe disconnects?

Can you clarify or perhaps attach a photo?

High Ball,

Your system is different than mine.

It appears that you have the controller for the AGS mounted under the dash where it has 5 adjustable set points for when you want the generator to start and stop.

(Note: If you "Google" Magnum AGS Standalone Version..the manual is on line)

Those settings you usually "set em and forget em" unless
their is a need to change them.

Up above you have the
Magnum ARC-50 (?) from looking at the photo (The manual is also available online) and this is the remote where you can apparently turn on the AGS, as well as other things, from that remote panel.

In other words, the ARC-50 talks to the controller under the dash that then sends the
message to the generator.

I would suggest you get both manuals online and familiarize yourself with the functions of each component as related to the AGS.

Sorry for the delayed response, but away with family for the holidays.

Push the AGS button, then use the turn knob to set all of your parameters.

Thanks all for the response. I will download the two instructions as I don't have any and will probably try the electronic one first and if nothing seems to work will try dash one. Confusing why there would be 2 that would do the same thing ????
