I need help! I have a 1995 Onan NHE-K that will not continue to run after the start switch is released and related the fuel pump is not getting any power. I have checked the oil pressure switch, the brushes are free. What is the best way to test for output voltage when cranking? I am down to a bad control board or a bad voltage regulator. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

John,

Welcome to iRV2, it's great to have you here as a new member. I'm sorry you're having problems with your generator, maybe this link to an Onan Generator Troubleshooting page will help.

Again, welcome to iRV2!

John,
Replace the control board. If you hold the start switch in and the generator continues to run and put out voltage, you have a bad control board. That is what usually goes first. If it continues to run and you get no voltage out, replace the voltage regulator. Good Luck.
