Only Camping World?
Good morning,
is there in USA an alternative to Camping World?
Thanks.

Alternative for what...buying an RV, service, accessories, something else? A bit more detail on why you're wanting to avoid them will help our members better answer your question.

For parts, it's been ebay, craigslist and Amazon for me. For service on things I can't do myself or for warranty work (no longer valid, my warranty has run out), I rely on my local authorized Northwood warranty repair shop, located 5 miles away. No complaints so far.....

Then there is also some, but not all, RV repair centers have stuff to buy.
You should be a bit more specific at just what your asking about...

The only time I buy from Camping World is if we're on the road and need something ASAP. Otherwise most everything comes from Amazon. CW has the highest prices around it seems!

Camping World is just a large dealer chain. You may or may not have them in your area. If you don't somebody probably sells the same stuff they do. If you do then market protection applies just like it does on a lot of other things. If CW sells it the guy across the street probably does not.
FWIW the chuckle around here is that the Wilkins RV is in Front of the CW in Rochester. In Bath, NY they are next door.

I buy just about everything I need on Amazon. The only time I go to CW is if it is an emergency and I have to have it NOW!!!
Craigslist is also a good resource.

RV specific online sources also include PPL, Tweety's, Adventurenet and a number of others if you wish to order. Most area's will have some type of RV supply store for convenience supplies and some commonly needed parts.

Was there (CW) 2 weeks ago to drop the tt off for a repair issue. I knew once my wife walked thru the store, I was toast. She bought a new camp chair and a microwavable bowl to cook popcorn. The price was right on both items. CW for us is about 35 - 40 miles away.
Usually if a need something for the RV / replacement part/ supply item I'll go to All-Seasons RV which is only 20 miles away. They seem to carry a good assortment of items in their store. It's also on the way to one of the campgrounds we go to a few times a year so if I need something I'll stop in on Friday before we hit the campground.

I buy almost everything I need at RVUpgrades.com, a sponsor here on iRV2.com. They often beat CW pricing, and their service is great. For those who may not know, the owner of RVU started iRv2.com and ran it out of pocket for many years......
IMO, we all owe Bill our gratitude and business for those things that can be ordered online.

If it's a part I need I'll get it off the web(not CW) when we're staying somewhere for a week or so. I've even had things sent to the next campground we're headed to. I can always find a diesel mechanic near where we are if that's the kind of work needed. So far in over 4 1/2yrs. of fulltiming I believe I've been in a CW maybe twice, but that was for something I needed right away, like an A/C shroud that decided to blow off going across the Mojave desert. That one still has me puzzled???

I like the CW catalogue....but I generally shop Amazon for most of the RV items I need. In a pinch though CW has been my source on the road for things like a convertor and toilet paper. Basically I use CW for emergencies only.
