Outdoor access to radio, TV connection

My first motorhome had an outdoor compartment that had a shelf for a small TV and also contained a radio and speakers. My current motorhome has the guts for such an installation, but no way to access them without leaving the entire compartment door open.
I bought a marine hatch from Amazon big enough to provide access to the radio and TV connections. I cut an opening through the compartment door, added a plywood shelf in the space provided in the frame. Some Titanium Metallic spray paint was a good match for the color of the door. I unmounted the speakers and added lengths of wire to allow them to be used outside of the compartment.
The shelf is real handy when passing items in and out of the coach, and also serves as a convenient place to park a beverage or two. Check out the three pictures attached.

Great idea! Our Adventurer has a factory "shelf" that hooks onto the lip of the opening below the outside radio, but it has to be stored somewhere. Your setup is nice and handy with no storage problems. Keep up the little mods to personalize your rig.
Happy Glamping.

That looks really great! I'd paint the shelf with a good white enamel.
