I have 3 of my 4 ladder stand-offs with rusted out screws. I need either new stand-offs or maybe just the star nuts that go inside the stand-off.

I searched here and on the web and can't find them anywhere. I might not be using the right term, but I don't know what else to call them.

Anyone know where to get some?

Thanks

Thanks Speed... I actually did that and one of the mechanics had 1 in his tool box but that was all I could get. Do you know how many are in each stand-off? I haven't taken it apart yet so am not completely sure what's inside.

Thanks for the reply.

HR-TX,
You might luck out at a large marina with a boatyard... they do custom aluminum ladder and railing work on big boats... yachts. ...May have the fittings you need.
Good Luck!

Success... and iRV2 was the source of the information. I did a bunch more searches here and finally found exactly what I needed. The source is Christianson Industries in Michigan. They had exactly what I needed (double star nuts) and they are only $1.50 each.

Thanks for all your suggestions and thanks to the members of iRV2 for being the absolute best source of help and information on the net.

I bought mine off of eBay.
Just do a search for "star nut".

Do a search on "star-fangled nut" and you'll get more relevant results. This search will also give you videos and tools for installation and removal.

Sorry for not responding sooner... I don't have the part number but if you call the number they will get them shipped out to you right away. I didn't have to go through a bunch of people either. The girl who answered the phone knew exactly what I needed and placed the order for me. I bought 12 star nuts which I believe were $1.50 each and 6 of the back bolts which were like $1 each. I am hoping to reuse the screws that go from the outside, or just pick up some stainless screws at HD. BTW, they also have the plastic saddles that go between the rail and the standoff, and the mounting plates that attach to the coach if you need them.

The contact details are:

Christianson Industries
37328 May Street
Edwardsburg, MI 49112
269-663-8502
