PacBrake has an upgrade (PRXB) to increase exhaust braking in the rpm mid-range. Has anyone installed this upgrade? What do you think of it?

gary85...I was going to have one insalled at Quartzsite, pulled in for my appointment, but they didn't have one in stock.

I'm glad they didn't. I did a little more checking and found that they really only work at low RPM by blocking off the remaining hole in the PacBrake plate. If you're like me, I wanted more braking at 55-60 mph. The new unit only helps at low speeds. I have enough braking at low speeds. Hope this helps.

I went ahead and installed the upgrade. Actually, it is a whole new unit. It works! There is a noticable difference in the mid (45 mph) range and lower.
