Paint bubbling on Winnebago

I am new to this forum and getting ready to buy a used 2002 Winnebago Adventure 35U. There are spots on the enterance door and a few around the left front headlight area wher the paint is bubbling and peeling off. The spots are about 1/4 inch in diameter. Has anyone else had this problem and if so was it an easy fix. Should this be a concern about buying or is it just cosmetic. Thanks in advance for any input.

There is no easy fix with RV's. If you want it to look right, you will need to get the entire sections repainted, assuming of course there is no underlying water damage that is causing this problem to begin with. If that is the case, multiply repair above by 10.

Is this a full body paint coach? Or white gelcoat fiberglass with vinyl decals? Are the spots on white or colored areas? The description sounds like imperfections in the gelcoat fiberglass popping out, which is not a paint issue although of course it affects the paint if the area is painted. Those I have heard of are normally up to the size of a pencil eraser. If it IS just the paint, the surface of the fiberglass will remain smooth and intact.

Yes, the spots are about the size of a pencil eraser. When I run my hand over them, there doesn't appear to be any roughness under the areas other than where the paint is coming off. I just don't want to be buying future headaches. The cosmetic part of it I can live with. Thanks for your input.

Winnebago didn't offer full body paint in 2002. The only areas painted are below the trim belt (approx the lower 30" of the coach). The 3 colors offered from the factory are: Moss Greem Metallic, Wild Orchid Metallic, and Sahara Metallic.

Here's a link to the 2002 Adventurer Brochure: http://www.winnebagoind.com/products...nturer-bro.pdf
