Send a message via ICQ to W8RLM
I believe that there is a sensor that detects pressure and shuts off the pump. If this is the older AutoPark on the P chassis, these sensors have caused problems before. Perhaps you can have the pressure tested.

You should be able to hear the pump shut off after a short time to build up pressure to release the brake.

Good Luck

Stan,
Go to your find button and enter the subject. You will find a wealth of information from a real expert on park brake problems - "oldusedbear" probably knows more about the auto park brake than anyone and is happy to help those who ask.
