Passenger Side Mirror Replacement Problem

Passenger side mirror on our Tiffin Allegro Open Road 32CA got smashed by a hit and run driver a couple of weeks ago. Ordered a replacement mirror from Tiffin. Doing the work myself to try to keep the cost down...even if I had a shop do it, it wouldn't quite make the deductible on our insurance policy...

Anyway. new mirror arrived, and I started to remove the old, broken mirror. Got 2 of the screws out fine, but the other two just spin. As they are regular Philips head screws (1/4 inch, or maybe even 5/16 in diameter), I assume they are threaded into inserts in the wall panel. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the other 2 bolts, and then what to do with the inserts once I have the mirror off? It looks like 2 of them are above the dash board level, so using sleeves (to avoid compressing the wall panel) and regular nuts is a non-starter...

Would appreciate any help...

I see you have not had any responses. I just wondered if you removed the plastic cover for the windshield post if you could get to the screws, bolts or whatever holds the mirrors on.

Sounds like time to get a drill out and remove the heads leaving the body of the screw then once the arm is off use vise grips to remove the body of the screw.

Are there nuts on the inside of the coach that need to be held with a wrench?
