this is a sun shade that is an addition to the a&e awning systems.
read one review that stated there were only 2 grommets and the shade bowed in the middle. also, at 54" they wished it was higher.
my question is ...does anyone have any experience with this product and if these are valid concerns. if so, wonder who would make a custom one.

We avoided the Patty O'Shade because it was so short, and because colors were limited. We ended up with an awning sun shade from Sun Pro. Click any of the headings under "Awning Drops" from the menu on the left. The shades are available in numerous lengths, heights and colors. Ours goes from the awning to within less than a foot of the ground. It has 5 or 6 grommets along the bottom edge to tie it down, and it came with stakes and bungee cords. The shade slides into the groove on the roller tube.

I went with ShadePro. Great prices and free shipping. I got a stock 20' shade drop, with the side panel for our manual TT awning. Great quality at a great price (we got the black color).

thanks for the replies.
when looking at the web sites it came to my mind:
why not just get a screen room?
any help on shade vs. screen room decision.
thanks

Truly is just a matter of preference. Some complain that the screen room is a pain to set up -- especially for short trips; others love them. One will give you just shade protection; the other protection from bugs and an additional "room" (especially if you get solid panels as well as mesh).

Another way to go is to get a pop-up canopy (easy as heck to set up -- in like 2 minutes), and then get either solid panels, or the screen ones, for the sides. Just another thought.

Just depends on your use. Good luck with whatever you decide! You can't really go wrong either way!

There are serveral custom sun shade makers. One that produces a quality product is www.RVsunshades4U.com. Personally know the owner and they stand behind their products. The shades can be made to slip in the roller or can be made to attach to hooks mounted in the roller (I personally like the J hooks but each to his own liking)
