All I can say is, "I'm jealous". It looks like you built your toy box before your house. I like your priorities.

My wife gave based on the assumption that would-be burglars would get used to seeing the coach parked at the house, once it was on the road they would know we were gone. Maybe not the best argument but it worked for her.
Now I just have to get the plan by our local zoning office.
I will have to attach it to the existing garage as we already have our one allowed free standing structure. We built a pool house our 2nd year here.
I'll meet with the zoning board on Tuesday. THe building inspector says it should go through. City needs the tax revenue so they are easing up on building permits.

When you build the garage, be sure to make it an extra 10ft longer than you think. They are great for including a small efficiency apartment in the end and who knows....you may need a place to sleep when you're in the dog house !

I will have 4' at each end of the coach and when in the dog house hopefully she will let me sleep in the coach in the heated garage.

I actually never looked at it that way until you mentioned the monument. The flagpole is so that my husband can fly his NASCAR flag along with the US flag. The "rock monument" is actually the clean out for the separate septic system in the MH shed covered up with a fake rock and a few real rocks.

That took me over 2 months because they only meet here once a month and the first time I had to move everything about 2 feet to make everyone happy.

Fortunately the building inspector said he would walk it through with me. I'm in the middle of 1.5 acres so property lines wont be a problem. They do have a rule only allowing one free standing building. Used that for the pool house. So this addition connects to the existing garage. Makes the old garage useless as a garage. I will turn 2 bays in to my shop and the other 2 bays in to a game room or something that the DW wants.

I really need to quit following this thread. Just when I think I'm happy with the design of our new garage someone like Sparkydog post's pics of his Uber garage.
Really nice Sparkydog

Thanks for the compliment, in the Midwest we downplay, and affectionally refer to this as a " barn". Most people nod and say I see!! None the less it's my dream " barn". Had a friend who nicknamed his motorhome with liscense plates "POUT HOUSE". So when wife wouldn't let him have his way, he had a place to pout. I think my barn could serve that purpose well. Did I mention I have cable TV in there as well!!

Anyplace that provides shelter is way better than a place that does not
