We have the same issue! We bought the house knowing the RV wouldn't fit (garage needs to be a few feet longer, and the door is about a foot too short), but we're planning on expanding the garage in the future. We have 30 amp and sewer both inside and next to it so we can stage and unload next to the garage for now and put it inside when the construction is finished.

We built it to be our party barn/hunting lodge/shop so it's used for lots more than storing an RV...but the in-law's Coachmen Fleetwood fit fine. Hindsight's 20/20 but we should have put in 14' doors instead of 12' so ANY RV would fit.

We're learning!

Had a friend of mine out today to estimate the finish grading and some gravel work. He will be out next week to do the work.

We are going with a 47' wide by 55' long gravel "pad" in front of the shop. He will also do the finish work of getting the dirt and slope right from the building out and dragging and seeding the rest of the property that was messed up with the process.

Power company is saying next week or the week after. We will be done.

Have enjoyed having it inside. Washed it Sunday and have been waxing it since then.

We are finishing our new garage. Opted not to make it for the MH but did a lot of work on this 1300 sq ft structure. Built for 170 MPH Charlotte County FL wind requirements.
Cinder-block walls filled and coated with Kills and finish coat. Floor was machine trowel so diamond ground and etched floor. took 5 hours to wet grind, power wash, etch, neutralize and final wash. Lots of slurry but got the porosity prep good for finish.

Finish is from Ipaints (new jersey) and selected one coat epoxy primer, two coats two part color finish and two coats top coat of poly with anti skid. Finish is about a 240 grit paper so I will not slip.

Garage has two OH door in front and one in the back for drive through and ventilation.
First pic is fill saw cuts before grind, then epoxy coat and last is with poly coat.

Finally finished the driveway and landscaping around the RV garage.

Sent 25 bales of straw through the blower after seeding and fertilizing. Not the best time of year to do it, so we will see how it turns out.

Looks great! I still need to bring in the final grade and seed. Might be a bit later. The concrete slab killed my fence budget as well. Hope your grass come up.

Looks great. My technique for the past 50 years has been to water the dirt and cut whatever green comes up short. Won't necessarily be grass, but it's green and doesn't look bad from 50' away. Good luck.

I have some green stuff coming up. Some is obviously the new grass, and some appears to be weeds that were in the soil. I'll take it.

Have been running the sprinkler pretty much non stop. It covers about a 20' diameter area (it's on a tripod) so I pretty much run it all day just to get everything wet. No rain in site!

Dennis,

I like that sewer/water hookup. Do you have more details?
