I have cable TV, refrigerator, heat, ac and comfortable chair in my current garage, the only room in the house thats mine. Just can't fit the MH in. Assume when the new garage is built I will loose control of the existing garage and have to move in to the new one. Someday I will have 2 rooms.

Sparky dog, your place is perfect. I would love something like that some day, with a 1200 sqft living space attached! Place we have now is too much landscape and maintenance for when we retire and want to travel. All fenced and wooded will be wonderful for dogs!

My garage is 50x90. If you can see on the tall garage door I had to remodel it twice. When it was built the city had a height requirement and that is as tall that was allowed and we didn't have a MH. 3 years ago we purchased one that would only go into the garage if the air was let out. If you didn't hurry to put it in the air bags would inflate and or course I damaged the ladder, then sometime later I destroyed the sat dome. Finally put a cut off valve to keep the air down to move it in or out. I have plenty of room for all my toys plus some. I do have a garage attached onto the house for my daily drivers. I have never regretted building it so big.

Here is our carport. 50 amp service, 55 ft long, 20 ft wide, 15 ft eve, 20 ft peak, some storage above, & no trusses to have to duck under when on the roof of MH. Thats a 20 ft by 40 ft work shop behing the coach.

The pad (49' x 52') and foundation walls are finally done. Don't know if we will get started on the structure yet this year. Weather may have us beat.

The footers are 4' to get below the frost line, the pad is 6" fiber reinforced and the pad is 4 foot thick in 4 separate areas to support the columns for the roof structure.

50 amp service will complete the FHUs. No local dumps. Now if I could just get a permit to put in a propane filling station.

The new garage will connect to the existing garage and mimic the house, tall in the center lower on the ends. The existing garage will be used to expand works shop and create a game room of some kind.

DW is mad about her yard being all torn up and having to park out side for 4 more days until the new concrete is ready to drive on.

Going to widen the drive 2' on each side, some of the tracks in her yard are from the MH.

My garage is similar to yours with features...unfortunately I didn't make my roof or doors high enough to get my new to me RV inside. I thought at time of build 10' door would be more than ample. I work in mine with metal fab, restorations, race car prep and paint work, so parking/storage isn't always an option. I 'm opting to make a carport on the north side of the existing garage. If I can keep a roof over it's head and the majority of the sun off it...I'd be a happy camper!
