Not real expensive to build if you don't dig out like I did. Please don't ask why - long story. This one 18 x 36

Just completed mine about a month ago. It's 18x56 and I made it a drive through for ease of use.

We had Morton Buildings put up a 42x60 building and have a 12' door for the rv. It barely fits in. We'd like to upgrade to a newer year, found out in 2006 the rv's were made taller. We can't fit a taller one in, so we're keeping our 2003 model and doing some updates to it.

Here's mine, which I had built earlier this year. The DW wouldn't let me cut down the oak tree in the front! OK, how do I get in in/out?.....V-E-R-Y - C-A-R-E-F-U-L-L-Y!
P.S
Not backing up, because there's a lake back there!

How's about sharing a little more information on your motor home dollies, did you make them or buy them. If you bought them where did you get them?

Happy to -
They are 3/8" powder coated plate steel with 3" verticle reinforcements
They weight in at about 125 lbs each
Custom fit for the tire size and singles in the front / duals in the rear
The casters are EXTRA heavy duty special made
Each skate is designed to hold about 10K lbs
Had a guy I found on the web in Tennesse custom build them for me
Sorry do not remember the guys name - It was several years ago
Try a web search for heavy duty tire skates
Cost about $1.5K - Expensive but everything is today
The requirement to move the Rig out of the way while in the shop for the winter overrode the cost issue
One person can move it without too much trouble
He built a set of skates for a WWII tank that weighed 5x or more than my Rig
So I figured he could easily do the job for my short Class A 20K lb RV

What features have you built into the base pad of your MH garage? I am considering a depressed chmannel 10 t0 12 seep by 16 to 18 wide to provide acess underneath without jacking uo the MH. Comments and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Waterdog4315

The skates add 8 to 9" of height / access to the underside
Enough for almost any job
Too bad the 4 pole 14K lb hoist will not handle the new Rig
Our old Class C when up 6ft on the hoist several times
Walking underneath the rig made service easy
