Pilot/Flying J - Take this card and shove it.

Today I used the Frequent Fueler RV Advantage card and received my .03 gallon discount. However, I was charged .06 more than the cash price because I put it on a charge card. While the posted price on their website and the big flashing sign for the location I used was $3.499 they charge $3.559 for any credit card purchase. The net price I paid was $3.529 at the FlyingJ in Anna, TX.

So much for all the posts claiming you always pay the cash price if you belong to their RV program.

PFJ has seen the last of my business......... no way I'm paying $.06 because I don't carry a lot of cash on the road. Maybe they need the increase to cover legal fees!

This must be a new policy and when I called their "customer service" hotline to complain, they could care less.

End of rant....... the card is going to the landfill.

This has not been my experience refueling at many Pilot/Flying J locations across the country. I always got the cash price minus the 3 cent discount per gal. using credit cards - AMEX and MC. Did you challenge the charges at the fueling desk?

FJ in San Antonio last month was my last Texas FJ use. Next fueling was the FJ in Albuquerque, price charged was as advertised - cash price minus 3 cent discount using credit card.

Currently the best way to get a discount is with this card:

http://www.rvpluscard.com/

It's for .05/gal off the cash price.

Wow I would love to pay $3.56 a gallon. It's $3.97 for cash in town. We are actually more expensive then some areas of California.

On a 100 gallon tank your talking $3.00 difference. That upsets you????? Man if I worry about $2 to $3 I guess I would just stay home.

Since 2 Flying J exec have recently pleaded guilty to intentional consumer fraud, why would your experience surprise you?

We had some problems early on when F-J was bought out by Pilot. Havent had any issues recently but sometimes it takes a manager's intervention at the fuel desk to sort it all out. Still looking for my first "rocket scientist" behind the fuel desk. As I understand it the FJ card only clears you at the pump, you still have to go in and make the credit card transaction. If you completed your transaction at the pump, you probably got the credit card price.

We are Good Sam Charter Life members and get 8¢ a gallon discount off the cash price. However I've found that we can buy as cheap or cheaper at other stations close by even after the discount. Not worth the hassle to me.

We use the Pilot/Flying J charge card. We get cash price less .06c discount and the bill goes straight to our checking account every month. Couldn't be easier. Oh, and no transaction limits at the pump.

I had the card last year but never used it. While travelling thru washington, Oregon and Northern California FJs were not convenient. I also found other stations cheaper. So we cancelled the account.

Walmart and HEB are usually the lowest prices in town, here in Texas. Further, an HEB gift card gives you 12 cents off, Walmart cards provide a 15 cent discount.

The truckstops are at the bottom of my list, when it comes to buying diesel.

Don't you think if this kind of thing was happening on a regular basis that there would be tons of complaints posted?

There obviously was some sort of a glitch in processing your credit card. I'd be willing to bet if you had gone in and spoke with a manager it all would have been resolved to your satisfaction.
