this thread reminds me to ask a question

I've been wondering... how does this site support itself? I have been so helped by irv2 that I have looked for a "donation" button and don't find one. Is there a way "friends of" can contribute or is this a commercial venture?

iRV2 is supported by our sponsors and the ads on the site.

At this time we do not have a donation program in place.

The ad supported internet has brought many tools and innovations to consumers for free. Just think about the all the services provided by free by Google. Not just search but maps, news, email, etc. iRV2 runs on the same model, so the best way to keep us going is to support our sponsoring vendors. You can find a list of them at this link.

In the future we might offer an upgraded account for people who want to make a donation to help support the site. It will give your account various perks plus some other iRV2 swag to say thank you.
