Looking for suggestions on how to hang a club license plate from the rear ladder.

Thanks

I simply wire tie the plate directly below a rung. This leaves room for my foot on the rung directly below the plate.

Was thinking about that, but did not know if there was room.

Ditto on the wire ties. I just replaced black ties on one that has been there almost 3 years ...one tie got brittle and broke when I straightened the plate so I replaced 'em all. Two other plates w/white ties are still secure.

Another option is those rubber coated hose clamps. Not the worm screw type designed to clamp the hose to a fitting but the ones that wrap around the hose and has a metal tab that is used to fasten to a body part. They are available at any auto parts store and look like this:

You can slip them around the ladder rung and then bolt them to the plate so that it hangs down below the rung.

Does anyone do anything with the second FMCA plate?

Being in a "two plate" State,I've thought about making a bracket to affix the plate to the top of the license plate bracket in the front...I've seen them in front windows, but don't want to do that....
Would probably only be visible in a campground...

I haven't decided what to do with the second plate, either. One is on the ladder..wife has set the second in the windshield but I'm not too thrilled with that.

We had "experimented" with that, when we had the Journey, but I wasn't real crazy about it being up there.
I'm wondering if I can configure something in an "x" fashion that would have holes in each leg of the x and be strong enough to hold the plate on the front....Will do some looking online and report back.

We have our second FMCA plate in the front windshield, held in place on the passenger side corner by suction cups with little hooks on them we bought at an FMCA rally. It works pretty well ...is out of view from the driver's seat.

I saw one just this past week glued/stuck to the front of the motorhome centered right above the windshield. Not sure I would do that, but it actually looked very good!

I've thought about mounting it on top of the front plate ...seems I saw some bracket of some kind in an FMCA magazine to do that, but never followed up on it. They do sometimes advertise a ladder bracket ...kind of pricey compared to wire ties or the hose clamps Cruzer mentioned!

Paul,I agree with your assessment....We've used the wire ties for the rear one as well.

I also remember seeing a bracket of sorts in a magazine, guess I'll try and dig up an FMCA somewhere this morning....

Found a use for the second plate....

I turned it over and centered the iRV2 decal on the smooth side and mounted it on the ladder above the FMCA plate....KEWL!!!

While in Quartzsite a few weeks ago I saw a ladder bracket for sale that held the plate and extended it 4" back toward the motor home. It mounted like other ladder brackets, but didn't hinder the use of your ladder.

I made a budget model that used two spring steel clips for holding flashlights and other round objects (sold at Home Depot) and mounted them to a piece of flat aluminum bar, then screwed the plate to the bar.
