Isn't it funny how the older we get, the further away "really old" gets!

You are so right:
when I was in my 20s and my parents were in there 50s, I though that was really old.
when I was in my 50s I thought anyone 65 was really old.
when I was in my 60s I thought anyone in their 70s were old.
now I'm approching 80, (two more months).
anyone in their 90s are old.

I'm 68, and Jeannie is 67. We tow a Toyota Tacoma behind our 1996 35' Winnebago Vectra Grand Tour DP. Jacey and Jack, our furry kids, make it all worthwhile......

Started out with nothing but a sleeping bag!

1970 - upgraded to a tent

1978 - graduated to a pop-up tent trailer

1979 - switched to an 8' pickup camper

1980 - demoted to a pickup topper

1983 - went back to an 8' pickup camper

1985 - got a 1976 26' Pace Arrow class A

1990 - temporarily got out of the RV game, towed a 25' cabin cruiser and stayed in that as needed.

2002 - 1994 23' Coachmen 5th wheel, 1 slide - major pain

2005 - 1995 34' Winnebago Vectra gasser (Ford)

2008 - Got our current rig, and we love the widebody on the Freightliner chassis! It has been a wonderfully reliable unit and gets 10 mpg towing. Couldn't ask for a more comfortable unit, is ideal for our needs, and there are no slides to contend with.

I go on Medicare next Sat. when I turn 65 (with what my health ins. costs that's just like getting a raise!) Beautiful wife is 28 ---meet her when I was the judge at a bikini contest which I was the deciding vote, which she won!!! Hoping to live to 66 after she reads this. Now that I have had a little fun--she is really 50-14 as her Dr. says (64) and we have two four legged children that travels with us. Sam--the best bird dog a man could ask for and an even better friend, a 13 yr. old German Short Hair. Then there is Willie (named after my wife's favorite country singer) a 4 yr. old Westie that really runs the whole show. I've had a lot of fun answering this question---thanks for asking.

You didn't ask but I'll say it anyway:
All the money in the world won't buy you one more minute on this earth.
If you enjoy working more than retirement; thats great, its just not everyones dream.

I'm a "young" 77 (sometimes, that is), and my beautiful wife is 70. Don't tell her I listed her age but she looks pretty good for all those years.
We have a 1998 Fleetwood Discovery, 36T and pull a 2009 Ford Escape 4 down with a Remco Lube Pump on it. We have been R.V.ing for 13 years. Got started late....

Hi, I am now 66 and fully retired except for tuning supercharged alcohol drinking 2700 hp professional drag racing cars. I currently own a 44' Monaco Signature with a Detriot Diesel. Here is a picture of the first RV I was ever in. When we lived in England my Dad had this trailer (Caravan in the UK) in the early 1950's that we towed with a 1947 MG Touring Sedan.

38 years old and new to Class A, but had trailers and 5th wheels for over 12 years. New to me is the 5th RV I have owned which is a 96 Winnebago Vectra 35' with 5.9 Cummins and 6 spd. Love it so far.
