And you checked the fluid level in the cannister? Why do you use ATF to lubricate the shafts? I thought we were suppose to use a silicone spray.

I checked my canister fluid about 4 months ago shortly after I took ownership of my rig. It was full to the point of running out of the plug hole.
Someone mentioned ATF as a lubricant for the cylinders and I thought I would try it instead of the silicone spray.

Be worth checking again, especially being as the alarm light is a recent occurance. In a way ATF makes more sense the silicone being as that is what (I think) it uses as hydralic fluid. My concern would be it attracting dust more then the silicone.
As far as the connections go. I only saw a couple, one where the float valve plugs into the harness, and the other up in the cab. Be easy enough to clean either of them.

I agree with all your valid points, and I certainly appreciate your time and input to my problems.
Thank you!

I had a similiar problem on my Southwind when it was brand new. Jacks up but light stayed on. Even after the dealer added fluid, it took forever for light to turn off after jacks where fully retracted. So dealer extended the jacks so fluid level was below the fill hole, added a little extra fluid so it was slightly overfilled, installed fill cap, retracted jacks and light goes out with a fairly short delay. Works great after 15 months.
