Power Gear Jacks shutting Off by itself

Ok I have a fleetwood storm with a power gear manual leveling system I press the emergency brake turn on engine turn on jacks and when you touch any button on the touch pad the power light goes off and nothing happens please help on what I can check I worked on RV's for ten years but have been out of the industry for 5 and just relized I have forrgotten alot of stuff

Ok I found in the troubleshooting that it says its a low voltage condition but the engine is running so where do I go now

I would suggest you check or add a good ground. Also check connections at both ends of the circuit feeder and any circuit protection devices in the line. Unplug the touch pad for about 5 seconds to reset it. Check voltage at the motor or solenoid under load. You can contact Power gear for help once you have done the above and can give them this info. You have a poor connection, may be on the "hot" (power) side of the controller but more likely a bad ground on the controller since those seem to go bad more often

Using a volt meter and a partner follow the voltage, if you have ANY voltage on the controller's ground wire (or the pump's ground wire) re-do the chassis end connection of that wire

ok I found a wire by the pump it was a black wire with a white stripe it was to be grounded but whatever they had attached it to had either come loose or rusted off so I attached it on the chassis and put plenty of sealer on it so we are good to go thanks for the help
