My research shows many posts about this touch pad, however I have never seen one that could provide the operation manual for this pad # 140-1179. My problem is I have nothing to direct me on the proper operation of this unit and the Power Gear web site does not address it.
Is it only a manual control? Is there a way to retract any of the legs without retracting them all? Are there lights that light within the image of the motor home on the pad? There is a message on the pad that states that I should not operate until reading the operation manual, sure has me going in circles!

Have you called Power Gear about the need for the owners manual?

I went to pg web site and saw info on 140-1178 and 140-1170.

Have any service facility call them for you as I stated previously, they will not talk to you. Also it would help if you posted the year and make of your mh , when you need help or advice.

Good luck

Cliff

Power Gear will not take calls from the general public or repair shops. You must FAX them. In the Power Gear Tech documents they have a listing for the operator’s manual for leveling systems using touch pad 140-1179 it is under the Dewald system. For some reason I can not open that document all the others work.

Go to www.powergearus.com and look under technical documents, scroll down to leveling and click on Dewald and you will find the owners manual. Hope this helps.

states. when just clicked manual, would not redirect what is up with this company. they need to be reported but to who. They wont deal with the customer who has possession of their product out of warranty, nor do they have infor on their power leveling manual for 140-1179

Why would you "report them" to anyone?
Aren't we in these buses to get away from our government mandated rubber rooms?
Power Gear (and the other vendors of the "stuff" in our RV's) owe us nothing.
Thier customer was the manufacturer of our RV's, and some oif those will talk top us, others only to an authorized dealer.

Thanks our lucky stars for company's like Atwood, RV Custom Products, Dometic, and many others who put a ton of money into end user support to maintain thier good name and our satisfaction with thier products. But they owe us nothing.
