Power Management System 2011 Winnebago
We are at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque (sun blasting down on our front glass) and hot outside. We have a 10 KW Generator which is running now. Today the circuit for the microwave (not being used) and refrigerator keeps turning on and off. I shut down the rear air conditioner to bleed of some of the load and the problem persists. No other power in the coach is on. The circuit still trips..  Have any of you 2011 Winnebago TOUR owners experienced any issues with your power management system? Finally, I also checked in the bay to make sure the control unit for the power system was getting enough air. The power electronics was clear with nothing packed around it.

That, to me, sounds like the inverter is on; which should not be when the generator is running and supplying AC power.

if this is fact winnebago is the only mh made that requires the inverter to be shut off. Soooo wrong!! Many outlets are only supplied by the inverter. In our mh the only thing not on the inverter is the air cond.

Does your panel read all legs, good amperage and voltages? Ours changes with plugged in, no gen(batteries) and with gen on. See signature. Or measure right at genny.

Could there be a loose connection or perhaps that breaker is weak and the normal voltage combined with the Albuquerque heat causes it to trip? Just a thought.

What is your advice for the problem? I offered my suspicion, however simplistic it may be.

Thanks everyone for your input. Inverter is off, legs are normal balance, I think my approach will be a loose connection and have ruled out the heat because this problem has occurred in the past when traveling down the road with generator on. I am going to have my local dealer check all connections when I return to Charlotte.....

If possible I wouldn't wait till I got home to have it checked for a loose connection. If it is in fact a loose connection it will only get worse and could get to the point that, the loose connection generates enough heat to burn the wire and cause more damage. Get with other RV'ers there if you're not comfortable in checking for a loose connection in the power distribution system and see if someone can talk you thru it that way you'll learn what to look for and how to fix it.
