PowerGear Jacks not going down w/o brake pedal pressed

Hi all! We have a bounder 31W with power gear jacks. We recently removed a huge electric security system that was draining our battery and now have trouble with the jacks going down. The parking break is set, but the jacks won't go down unless the brake foot pedal is pushed down. It also makes a whirring sound, like some kind of gear turning maybe? Then in order to keep the jacks down you have to turn off the car and remove the key. Otherwise if you accidentally take your foot off the brake pedal they automatically retract. Any suggestions would be helpful. I've replaced fuses, and replaced at least one relay switch.

Somehow, you have the brake light switch tied into the control circuitry for the jacks. On my Southwind there are only 3 prerequisites; engine must be running, parking brake set, and tranny in park to make the jacks work. Was part of the security system you removed connected to the brake light switch? You might be better off talking to Fleetwood about it.

for the life of me I can't see that it was actually connected to the security system. I can't even find the website for Power Gear... only places you can buy the products.

Power Gear info is at this link https://www.lci1.com/power-gear%C2%A...eveling-system.

Maybe the easiest way to check this out would be to disconnect one wire from the brake light switch and check out the jacks operation each time.
