Warning.. We have the Progressive EMS PT-50C Smart surge suppressor and it is a piece of junk. On its fourth trip in for service in the year since we bought it. Apparently these units have a problem with moisture infiltration. TBF on last box recieved was less than a month. Not exactly giving me a warm feeling that it will actually work when it has to. Plus we have spent over $100+ shipping it back and forth for warranty service and never a prepay offered.

Not a happy customer.

First, that is not a surge protector, that is a spike supressor, you really need the more expensive one that IS a surge protector.

Second: The park outlet is worn out, that is why it failed to make good contact, Clean plug and move to a different site. and tell management wny.

This is the surge protector model we have... quite clear what it is. Read all about it.

EMS-PT50C

In every case the park maint. electrician checked the pole voltage and polarities as good. In every case progressive specified the failure mode on the return rma.

Sorry to hear about all of your troubles with the EMS PT-50C unit. If it were me I would have invested in an indoor unit but still wire it like a portable. I did that with the EMS HW50C unit.

There have been hundreds if not thousands of satisfied customers with Progressive Industries unit. You are obviously the exception.

You won't find a better EMS unit on the market but there are other manufactures that maybe you should cater to like TRC and Camco.
