We are asking opinions on the safety of leaving our propane BBQ hooked up to the main propane tank of the motorhome.. ..It seems a nuisance to connect and disconnect each time we barbeque... Paulmargde

I tend to be cautious. I waited too long to retire and want to stretch my time as far as possible.

I have had LP leaks develop, and I've had bears surrounding me.

I like to be capable of jumping in the drivers seat and taking off, worry about chairs etc later. I won't tie dogs or clothes lines to RV.

I sure don't want to be dragging an LP appliance. That's just my opinion.

Otherwise, if you're in a secure spot, staying a while, all LP gear in good repair and all tripping hazards are secure, I'd leave it hooked up. Art

We are parked in a campground without bears and do have our lp hoses connected but keep it out of the sun.

If staying a while, I leave ours connected.
