Everyone knows how the sun can harm your tire rubber. I have a more detailed question to pose regarding that. I've always wondered about one variable.......How long does it take generally for the sinister ultra violet rays to do their damage? I say generally too because I assume there is a margin one way or the other based on where you and your tires are....(climate).
Further; I bought my coach new, but it sat on the lot for a whole year without tire shades before I came along. What about that time period?

It only took 3-1/2 years for my 6 Michelin tires, (which had been covered), to develop side wall cracks severe enouh that Michelin Customer Care said they were no longer safe to use.
However the 2 previous sets of Goodyears on my coach both lasted over 7 years.
