attaboy, first let me welcome you to our website and forum. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. What year is your Spartan and what model? If you do not know the model is it a rear or side radiator? This will give us a little more info to work with. I have not had any problem with our 99 Mountain Master with side radiator having a problem like a bracket braking. Have you contacted Spartan about it? Let us know and enjoy the website.

Thanks Mike!
The MH is an '01 Mountain Aire Model #4095.
Yes, I've contacted Spartan in person & by mail. I brought in the parts of the broken bracket. Right now, I'm awaiting a responce.
I suspect that I may not get the answer I want. My hope in making this note available to others is that should someone have such a model, that it may be worth checking their bracket. However, you know that that would be difficult.
I am not speaking against Spartan in anyway, I love their product. And I have been treated well when I had my rig serviced there.
We have been fulltimers nearly 5 yrs until recently. My wife's health is wanning, so we've slowed it down since last December. We just recently attended the RV America chat room rally here in MI and that's when the fan problem came up. ($3200 repair) So the adage of "If it sits, it rots" may have come into play. By the way, my mileage was 35753 at the time of the break.
I'd appreciate hearing back from you & others.

That 4095 Mountain Aire should be on the Mountain Master chassis with a side radiator; correct? Then the fan is a hydraulic type. By chance did the system ever get low on fluid? I was just wondering if cavitation could have caused excessive vibration stressing the welds on the bracket to frame. When it broke did it damage the blade? Did it damage the pump motor? I do not think this is a common problem at all as this is the first time I have heard of it.
