Can you get a helper to push the button while you at the vacinity of the clicking sound? You can use a screw driver; putting the handle on various relays or solenoids and feeling for the click you hear.

OK... was able to get an Amp draw reading. When extending the slide, the motor draws 11.5 amps initially, it then backs down to around 10. When retracting, the motor draws around 9 Amps and it backs down to under 8.

Mike... I have been unable to locate a Breaker or Relay or Fuse. I have followed the wires backwards from the motor. They run forward and seem to been tied into a Remco switch on the dash... makes no sense at all. Had my daughter pushing the button while I tried to locate the popping sound that happens just before the power cuts off to the switch light. I wish I knew what I was looking for...

Well, you might want to do a search for DC voltage circuit breakers. It could be a small rectangular box with two 3/16" studs or even a larger square black box with a flag lever, but I doubt it is this style as you would have to manually reset it.

Mike... I backed off the current on the room controller... the room will travel same distance as before (about 1-2 inches) and then stop... the difference is that the power to the switch does not shut off like before. Not sure if that is revealing or not but it operates more like normal in terms of the power and switch.

What you have adjusted is the current limiter. You may have actually increased the amount of current it will allow before tripping out and stopping the voltage to motor. In very small increments adjust the pot a little more and check as you do for better operation. If you cannot get it to continue to fully extend or retract on good voltage then I suspect you have a bad controller.

I did decrease it and can tell when I have too much because the circuit will power off when it stops and the lights on the switch will go out. Under normal operation the power light on the switch stays on even after it stops.

I noticed a lot of play in the room as it begins to move and when the room is out, there is about an inch or two more space at the floor than at the ceiling.

When fully extended or retracted is the room sealed all the way around? If so don't worry about play and differences when it is in mid positions.

I have a 2006 Safari Cheetah and I can not find the controller box for the 2 slide-outs anywhere on this rig. Called Monaco and they said it could be 1)under bed, 2) in rear wardrobe floor or 3) in battery compartment. No such luck thus far. Any ideas where?

Thanks,

Harlan
