Replacing my Norcold, which had the cooling unit go, with a residential Samsung. Attempting this my self, Looks like a good fit, gonna remove the two drawers below and build a platform over my heater register. But this will give me about 73", only need about 70" for height. Can someone help me with how I should secure it. My coach is a Beaver 40' Monterey. The unit will be completly encased where the old one was and no real room to work around. Also can I just plug it into the recepticle that the Norcold used, which was in the outside compartment.

Yes, welcome to iRV2.com. You could use a steel plate on the bottom front that will still allow air flow for the coil under the refrigerator to breath. Secure this plate to the edges of the frame of the refrigerator and to the front of the base framing you build. Use a steel angle iron (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") to secure the rear edges of the refrigerator to the base. You will be removing the front plastic vent cover to secure the refrigerator. You could make a louvered vent of wood and stain to match cabinets to cover the steel plate. You will want to block off the outside rear of the refrigerator vent to prevent air flow.

I just had a Norcold 1210 installed in my motor home and the doors don't close without help has anyone had a Norcold installed and the doors closes by itself
